Hanna Herzog, Professor of Sociology,
Head of the Women and Gender Program (since August 2009)

Hanna Herzog received her PhD from Tel Aviv University and is a member of the department since 1981.
חנה הרצוג סיימה את לימודיה באוניברסיטת תל אביב וחברה בחוג מ 1891.
She served as chairperson 1998-2001. She served as president of the Association for Israel Studies 1999-2001.
שמשה כראש החוג בשנים 1002-8991 , וכנשיאת האגודה לחקר ישראל בין השנים 1002-9991.
Was the Editor of Israeli Sociology 2001- 2005, She is one of the founders of the Gender Studies Program of Tel Aviv University.
ערכה את כתב העת סוציולוגיה ישראלית בין השנים 1002-5002 ממייסדות התוכנית ללמודי מיגדר.
Her main areas of interest include political sociology, gender and politics, gender and knowledge, sociology of generations, national and ethnic inequality and Israeli society.
