Maya Negev is in the final stages of completing a PhD in Environmental Studies at Ben Gurion University, on "a multicultural approach to environmental policy". Her research focuses on diverse stakeholders participation in health impact assessment, in the case study of land uses in the vicinity of Ramat Hovav, the national hazardous industry site. During her MA at the joint program of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and Ben Gurion University, she conducted a national research on environmental literacy. She also conducted research on education for sustainability in the Arab and Haredi sectors, for the Ministry of Environmental Protection. Maya is a doctoral fellow of the Environment and Health Fund, and was a Fulbright visiting scholar at UC Berkeley. She is a member of several research groups at the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem. |
