Neil Gandal is a Professor of Economics in the Department of Public Policy at Tel Aviv University. He received his B.A. and B.S. degrees from Miami University (Ohio) in 1979, his M.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1981, and his Ph.D. from the University of California-Berkeley in 1989.
Professor Gandal is the managing editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research. He has been a visiting Professor at the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Texas-Austin. His current research interests include the Economics of Internet Industries, Open Source Software, and Internet Security.
