Dr. Deganit Paikowsky is a research Fellow at the School of Government and Policy, and the Academic Director of the Yuval Ne'eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security. Dr. Paikowsky completed PhD in International Relations on the topic of Space Policy of small and medium sized nations. Dr. Paikowsky teaches at the Security Studies Program. In 2010 she was a member of the President's team for re-evaluating the national space policy, and is one of the two author's of the team's recommendations document. In 2008 she was a Guggenheim fellow at the National Air and Space Museum in the Smithsonian Institution. In 2006 she was a visiting fellow at the George Washington University Space Policy Institute. Dr. Paikwosky earned her MA in Political Science with distinction (magna cum laude) in Tel Aviv University. Her MA thesis focused on the impact of space technologies on warfare and force build-up in the US army and the IDF. Dr. Paikowsky is the holder of numerous scholarships and academic awards.
