Daniel Tenengauzer

Daniel Tenengauzer is a portfolio strategist at George Weiss Associates. At this capacity Daniel is responsible to manage the risk and take positions in interest rates and currencies portion of the Global Macro Strategy. Prior to that Daniel was Managing Director, Head of Global EM Fixed Income Strategy at BofA Merrill Lynch Research. Daniel managed external and local emerging market debt strategy. At these capacities, Daniel was responsible for foreign exchange recommendations and exchange rate forecasts across emerging market currencies, as well as fixed income trading recommendations.

Daniel joined Merrill Lynch as senior emerging markets local currency debt strategist in 2005. A native of Brazil, he joined Merrill Lynch from Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., where he was a senior currency strategist covering G10 currencies. There he developed a number of trading tools for G10 crosses as well as valuation estimates for these currencies. Earlier, he worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. in a variety of roles including global economics, currency strategy and emerging markets fixed-income strategy.

Daniel holds a Master of Science in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (1997), a Master of Arts in Economics and European Studies from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (1995) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations also from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (1993).
